Poker is a card game in which players place bets against other players. Players may raise their stakes at certain intervals. In a typical game of Poker, a player may have a straight or a flush. A straight is five cards in a row, and a flush is five cards of the same suit. However, the lowest hand in a game of Poker is a pair of aces. In some variations of Poker, an ace may be the lowest card.
Most poker games use a 52-card deck. The players use four of each suit and one of a kind known as a “hole” card. The players select five cards from these to form their hand. If all players check or raise their bets, play moves on to the next round. If all players Fold or Call, betting ceases and the game ends in a Showdown.
