A winning hand in poker consists of three matching cards of one rank, two matching cards of another rank and then any other card (this is a pair). A flush consists of 5 consecutive cards of the same suit. A straight consists of 5 consecutive cards that skip around in rank but are all from the same suit. High card breaks ties.
